The great Makar Mela of Panauti in Nepal, happening every twelve years has concluded now. Day by day for one month thousands of pilgrims took the holy dip at Trivenighat, where the auspicious confluence of three rivers takes place.

Even the former King of Nepal, Mr. Gyanendra Shah took the chance to try to wash of his sins, breaking an ancient tradition that did not permit members of the royal family to enter Panauti.
